'Cats Take Series Over Revolutionaries

The Wildcats exited the weekend 22-24 overall and 15-9 in A-10 play, while the Revolutionaries are 25-22 and 12-12.
In the third series game, the Wildcats had to overcome a four-run deficit late to win, but did it thanks to six runs in their final two times at-bat. Anthony Torreso's two-run homer in the eighth proved to be the difference.
Eli Putnam homered twice in the finale, turning in his fourth multi-home run game of the year and taking his season total to 15. He drove in five of Davidson's first seven runs, and his two-run blast sparked a four-run seventh, which also included a Chris Schuchart RBI-double and Michael O'Shaughnessy tying the game 9-all by scoring on a wild pitch.
Noah Jouras hit a solo home run in the first, his second blast of the series, and Cider Canon went 3-for-4 to conclude the series 9-for-12. Canon is now hitting a team-best .403.
Starter Cooper Cavanaugh threw four scoreless innings, allowed two hits and struck out four. Adam Katz recorded the final six outs, without allowing a hit or run, and got the win.
Up first Sunday was the conclusion of Saturday's game that was twice stopped by rain. The Revs entered Sunday leading 13-8 in the bottom of the eighth, with one out and two Wildcat runners on, and held on from there to get the win and set up the series rubber game.

The Wildcats will host George Mason next weekend in the final home series.
