Miller, Foy Go 3-for-4 in Loss at Saint Louis

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – Despite 3-for-4 performances from seniors Lee Miller and Sam Foy, the Davidson baseball team fell to Saint Louis, 12-2, Sunday afternoon at the Billiken Sports Center.
The Billikens (19-25, 10-5 A-10) scored multiple runs in three innings, including six in the fifth, that secured the victory to win the weekend series, 2-1.
Saint Louis out hit the Wildcats, 12-9, while Davidson (22-22, 9-9 A-10) committed three errors. Four Billikens recorded multiple-hit performances, including Parker Sniatynski who went 3-for-3 to lead both teams. Miller and Foy led the Wildcats with three hits, while Miller scored both runs which came in the seventh and ninth innings.
On the mound, Devin Mahoney (3-2) held Davidson to just four hits with four strikeouts in the first six innings for the win. Casey Sutherland (1-4) recorded the loss, allowing four runs – one earned – off four hits with two strikeouts, while five other Wildcats appeared in relief.
Davidson will return to Wilson Field to host High Point Wednesday, May 4 for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
