Wildcats Fall to Loyola Chicago

DAVIDSON - The Davidson women's soccer team fell on the road to Loyola Chicago, 1-0, Sunday.Â
The loss snaps the Wildcats' three-game unbeaten streak and moves their record to 6-6-4 overall and 2-4-1 in the Atlantic 10.Â
The Ramblers scored what would be the game-winning goal in the 32nd minute of the contest when Jadyn Harris snuck a shot past goalkeeper Emily Smith to give Loyola a 1-0 lead it would never relinquish.Â
Davidson's best chances as notching a goal of its own came at the feet of Aleia Gisolfi-McCready in her debut game back, Savannah Pruitt and Amy Zona who each tallied a shot on goal.Â
The Wildcat offense was led on the day by Gisolfi-McCready with two shots, one on goal and Dakota Lyons with a team-high three shots.Â
Smith in her 16th start of the season, recorded seven saves while allowing just one goal over 90 minutes of action.Â
For the game, the Ramblers held advantages in total shots (17-12), shots on goal (9-3) and corner kicks (2-0).Â
