Wildcats Fall at VCU

RICHMOND, Va. — VCU struck with multiple first-half goals and topped the Davidson women's soccer team 4-1 Sunday on the final day of the regular season.
With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 7-7-3 overall and 3-5-2 in the Atlantic 10.
VCU improved to 7-9-3 and 5-4-1 in league play.
Sophia Whiddon scored her fifth goal of the season, off a Reese Montgomery assist, at the end of the 75th minute.
Y-Van Nguyen got the Rams on the scoreboard with a goal in the 20th minute, and Ishpreen Marwah made it 2-0 less than three minutes later. Isabelle Franklin scored in the 36th minute to give VCU a 3-0 lead at the break.
VCU's Keira McCloskey added a goal in the second half.
