Three Wildcats Homer in Loss at Wake Forest

Wake Forest had its bats going as well, however, and hit six home runs as the Wildcats fell to 20-18.
Hosmer hit a two-run home run to left-center to tie the game at 3-3 in the third, and Fontes matched him with a solo shot to right in the sixth, cutting the Deacons' lead to 10-8.
Candelaria went deep with a two-run shot to left to trim the deficit to 14-12 in the eighth.
Alex Fedje-Johnson's ground-rule double to left-center got Davidson on the board in the second. The senior shortstop added a two-RBI double to left in the seventh.
The Wildcats scored four runs with two outs in the fifth to take a 7-6 lead. Hosmer drove in one with an RBI-single and scored when Jake Wilhoit reached on an error. Jacob Hinderleider then drove in two with a triple into left center.
