DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson baseball will wrap up its seven game home stand this weekend, welcoming Mount St. Mary's for the final non-conference weekend series of the season, beginning Friday, March 16.

SCOUTING THE MOUNT
Mount St. Mary's enters the weekend on a 3-7 clip, most recently falling 11-0 to Hofstra last weekend, however the Mount prevailed 4-3 over shared opponent Georgetown. Freshman utility Thomas Savastio has been off to a productive rookie campaign, pulling in a team-best .343 batting average with 12 hits. The Mount enters the weekend with a 7.68 ERA as a staff but average 5.93 strikeouts per nine innings.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
The 'Cats are 11-2 all-time against the Mount. The two squads last faced in 2014, with Davidson taking an 11-0 decision.
MARKETING AGAINST THE MOUNT
If Davidson scores a run in the fifth inning of any game this weekend, all fans will receive a Bojangles' coupon for a free BoBerry biscuit. Saturday there will be special St. Patrick's Day themed trivia, with the winner receiving a gift card to the Davidson bookstore.
LAST WEEK AT WILSON FIELD
Davidson moved back into the win column this week, picking up double-digit victories over both Harvard (13-3) and (RV) NC Central (10-2). The 'Cats were led offensively by sophomore Ward Coleman, who doubled twice against NC Central and went .429 across the two games.

Seniors Cam Johnson and Alec Acosta joined freshman Alex Mardiney, each scoring three times during the week. Acosta and junior Eric Jones each homered, while sophomore Brett Centracchio also scored three times.
Sophomore Jaret LaCagnina delivered the best outing of his young career, where he struck out a personal-high seven across three scoreless frames Tuesday versus Harvard.
The Wildcat pitching staff combined for just a 2.50 ERA, allowing just five runs over 18 innings.
