The win, the Wildcats' fifth straight, secured Davidson's third consecutive Atlantic 10 series victory as well.
The hits came early and often for the Wildcats, who improved to 17-15 overall and 8-6 in the A-10. With 18 hits, they led 11-0 after three innings and 19-1 after six.
Matt Manjooran went 4-for-4 with a triple, a home run and six RBIs, which matches the most by a Wildcat this season (also Forrest Lietz vs. Bryant, Feb. 14). Jamie Daly also homered, and he doubled and got four hits in five at-bats, while Scotty Edwards finished 3-for-3 with a double. Matthew Vannoy cleared the bases with a triple in the fourth.
Lefty starter Cooper Cavanaugh turned in another shutdown performance, his third straight. In six innings of work, he allowed only a solo home run and struck out four.
In his last three outings, Cavanaugh has an 0.50 ERA in 18 innings, while allowing five hits and one earned run and striking out 17.
Manuel Castro hit two homers late and drove in five to lead the Bonnies (9-23, 3-11).
