
'Cats Cruise Past George Mason 17-3 On Saturday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Behind a career-high five goals from Allie Hartnett and a career-high four assists from Devyn Martinez, Davidson took down George Mason 17-13 at Field 76 on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 9-2 (3-2, A-10) and the Patriots dropped to 6-6 (2-3, A-10).
After a goal from George Mason's Kate Anders early in the first quarter, Davidson scored 11 unanswered goals. Ellie Johnson scored her first career goal with 5:03 left in the first quarter. The 'Cats led 11-1 with 8:59 left in the third quarter.
Davidson outscored George Mason 4-0 in the fourth quarter. Maia Chisari provided the exclamation point with the team's 17th and final goal of the contest. This was Chisari's first career goal.
Aeryn Curren, Keira Best, and Ellie Johnson each had two goals. Jenna Skibbe recorded three goals. Brooke Ross and Jacqueline Callahan contributed with two assists apiece. Mali White tallied a career-high three ground balls and added a goal as well as an assist. Tema Wagner continued her strong performance on defense this season. The sophomore had two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
