With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 10-13 on the season and 2-5 in league action.
Davidson took an early lead off the bats of Anthony Torreso and Matt Manjooran. Torreso knocked his second homer of the season, a three-run shot, in the first inning. He was followed by Manjooran's solo shot in the third, putting the 'Cats up 4-0.
Wilson Perkins took the loss for the 'Cats, tossing four scoreless innings before the Flyers flipped the game in the fifth.
Dayton (15-10, 3-4) took the lead on Colin Lynch's three-run homer and never looked back. The Flyers scored nine runs in the sixth inning and five more in the eighth, putting the final score at 20-4.
