Field Hockey Falls in Opener

TOWSON, MD. — An early goal gave the Davidson field hockey team the lead Friday afternoon, but Georgetown earned a 2-1 victory in the season opener for both teams in a neutral site game played at Towson.
Lourdes Wolf scored her first college goal in her first game, off an assist from Emelia Little, following a penalty corner.
Eva van der Kooi (2), Hannah Merritt, Sib Naaktgeboren, Emilia Ostos and Hallie Slidell also had shots-on-goal for the Wildcats, as Davidson held a 7-6 edge.
Sydney Yodh scored both Hoya goals. She tied the game 4:14 before the intermission and gave Georgetown the lead 3:38 into the third quarter.
