The junior infielder drove in two runs on a fifth-inning single, helping the Wildcats (5-11, 1-0 A-10) take the lead. Then his high-arcing, three-run shot down the left field line extended the lead to 8-2 in the seventh.
Scotty Edwards also homered, leading off the sixth with a blast to left, his first career round-tripper.
Cider Canon's bases-loaded walk plated Davidson's first run in the four-run fifth — he later scored on a throwing error — and Jamie Daly singled in a run in the eighth.
On the mound, starter Wilson Perkins worked into the seventh, throwing 6.2 innings. He allowed five hits and two earned runs and struck out seven in the win.
Jakob Vokal recorded the last seven outs, including a strikeout with the bases loaded in the seventh, while notching his first save.
