
'Cats Ready for A-10 Tournament at Home

DAVIDSON, N.C. - After finishing fourth overall in the A-10 regular season standings, Davidson is set to embark on its postseason journey at home. The Wildcats face five-seeded Saint Joseph's in the A-10 Quarterfinals on Thursday, April 30 at 12 p.m. on Field 76.
A-10 INSIGHT
Davidson is set to host the A-10 Women's Lacrosse Tournament for the first time in program history. The Wildcats joined the league in 2015.
The Wildcats are seeking their seventh appearance in the A-10 Semifinals. Davidson is 3-1 in its last four quarterfinal contests. The 'Cats faced UMASS in five of the previous six semifinal games.
#3 St. Bonaventure, #4 Davidson and #5 Saint Joseph's all finished the regular season with 6-3 conference records. The seeding was decided on the fourth tiebreak scenario, which was goal differential between the tied teams in head-to-head competition (Bonnies +1, Wildcats 0, Hawks -1).
Since 2010, only UMASS, Richmond, and Saint Joseph's have won an A-10 Tournament Title.
HEAD TO HEAD AGAINST HAWKS
Saint Joseph's leads the all-time series 10-3. In the last matchup earlier this year, the Wildcats beat the Hawks 13-11. Jenna Skibbe had five goals. Brooke Ross had two goals and two assists. The 'Cats won the ground-ball battle 18-10.
The other two wins for the Wildcats against the Hawks came on April 13, 2024 (10-9) and April 19, 2015. Davidson's first A-10 Tournament game was on May 5, 2016 against Saint Joseph's (L, 10-7).
Jenna Skibbe has 10 career goals in three games against Saint Joseph's.
'Cats in the ranks and News
Davidson is first in the A-10 in ground balls per game (18.69) and second in caused turnovers per game (10.38). The Wildcats are fourth in goals per game (12.69) and second in GAA (8.82).
Jenna Skibbe ranks fifth in A-10 with 48 goals. Skibbe also ranks second in program history with 155 goals. Tema Wagner ranks fifth in A-10 with 25 caused turnovers.
Allie Harnett was named an All A-10 First Team selection for the fourth straight season.
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
Freshmen Kaitlyn Uller and Margit Crittenberger have made a significant impact in their first season with the Wildcats. Both have started in 15 games this season.
Uller ranks seventh among A-10 freshmen in goals (14) and second among A-10 freshmen in assists (12).
Crittenberger ranks first among A-10 freshmen in caused turnovers (17) and second in ground balls (30). VCU's goalie Lu Doyen leads all A-10 freshmen in ground balls.
