Baseball Hosts Gardner-Webb Tuesday Afternoon

Fresh off its first weekend sweep of the season, the Davidson baseball team will host Gardner-Webb in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.
First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at Wilson Field.
LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson is 7-7 overall, following three straight wins, all over Lehigh.
• The Wildcats are currently 1-1 in midweek contests, including a 7-4 home win over UNCG on Feb. 17 and a 12-8 road loss to Wofford on Feb. 24.
• Junior outfielder Forrest Lietz leads the Atlantic 10 with a .479 average and a .545 on-base percentage, while posting a 1.149 OPS and 13 RBIs.
• Lietz hit .769 10-for-13 in the weekend series with Lehigh, and his seventh-inning walk-off RBI-single capped a 4-for-4 day and invoked the 10-run rule in Sunday's win.
• Sophomore outfielder Jamie Daly leads the Wildcats with a 1.217 OPS and a .684 slugging percentage. He's also one of two Wildcats with two home runs (also Gavin Thomas).
• Freshman infielder Matt Manjooran is hitting .382 and has team-highs of five doubles and 18 RBIs.
• Pitcher Ed Hall leads the A-10 with 4.80 hits allowed per nine innings and is second with 13.80 strikeouts per nine.
• Next on the Wildcats' calendar is the A-10 series opener against Fordham on Friday.

• Gardner-Webb enters 10-6 after a 1-2 weekend at Oklahoma State, which included a 19-5 win over the Cowboys on Friday.
• Kelvin Agosto his hitting a team-best .421 with a 1.121 OPS, five doubles, two homers and 20 RBIs.
• Matt Ilgenfritz is hitting .333 with a 1.056 OPS, five homers and 19 RBIs.
• Last year, the Wildcats and Runnin' Bulldogs split two meetings, with each winning at home.
