
Davidson Falls To VCU at Home

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Despite a hat trick from Aeryn Curren, Davidson fell 7-5 to the VCU Rams at home on Wednesday night. The Wildcats fall to 7-2 (1-2, A-10) and the Rams improve to 6-3 (2-1, A-10).
Aeryn Curren scored two goals in the first quarter and the Wildcats led 2-1 after the first frame.
VCU outscored Davidson 4-1 in the second and third quarter. The Wildcats trailed 5-3 after three quarters.
Brooke Ross scored a goal within the first two minutes of the final frame. Davidson was only behind by one goal at this point, but the Rams scored two of the final three goals to win 7-5.
Ross and Allie Harnett led the way for the 'Cats with three caused turnovers on defense.
