LMU Drops Baseball in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM — Loyola Marymount struck with five runs in the third inning and posted an 11-1 win over Davidson in seven innings Saturday afternoon at Wake Forest's David F. Couch Ballpark.
With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 4-5, while LMU improved to 4-7.
Davidson's highlight was Jamie Daly's RBI-triple in the third, which scored Brendan Fritch, who had singled. Matthew Vannoy (double) and Anthony Torreso also had hits.
Starter Cooper Cavanaugh threw two innings, allowed two hits, walked four and struck out two.

The Wildcats will play two on Sunday — Loyola Marymount at 11 a.m. and Wake Forest at 2:30 p.m.
