O'Shaughnessy, 'Cats Clinch Series Win at Richmond

In securing at least a series victory, Davidson improved to 25-26 overall and 18-11 in the Atlantic 10 with one game left on the regular season schedule.
O'Shaughnessy went 4-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and two intentional walks. His RBI-single in the first inning set the single-season Davidson mark for RBIs in a season (63), surpassing the 62 of Trevor Candelaria in 2022. And he belted a two-run homer in the five-run ninth inning on a day the Wildcats bested the program record for homers in a season (94).
Gavin Thomas hit a solo shot in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 6-0 and push the Wildcats past the 92-homer mark set in 2023.
Anthony Torreso hit RBI-singles in the three-run first and the ninth to join O'Shaughnessy with multiple hits.
Starter Isaac Fix set the tone on the mound. He threw four innings, allowed two hits and struck out five, while Simon Yochum (2.0 IP) and Ed Hall (2.1 IP) also kept the Spiders (32-19, 13-16) off the scoreboard.
