Baseball Drops Midweek Game at Duke

DURHAM — Duke turned a one-run lead into a 12-0 victory over Davidson with consecutive big innings Tuesday night at Jack Coombs Field.
The Wildcats (11-16) were limited to three base hits, though they started the game with back-to-back hits by Noah Jouras (single) and Eli Putnam (double). Michael O'Shaughnessy added a single in the third.
Duke (20-10) led 1-0 after three-and-a-half innings, then scored four runs in the fourth and six in the fifth, including a Jake Hyde grand slam, to break it open.
Starter Brycen Champey (1.2 IP) took the loss.

The Wildcats will visit Atlantic 10 foe Fordham for a three-game set, beginning Friday.
