Baseball to Close Homestand vs. Queens Tuesday

Non-conference foe Queens will visit the Davidson baseball team Tuesday night at Wilson Field in the final game of an eight-game homestand.

First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.

LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson enters 13-14 overall and 2-1 after one Atlantic 10 Conference series.
• The Wildcats have won six of their last eight contests, including two of three in the weekend home series against A-10 foe Saint Joseph's.
• Corner infielders Eli Putnam and Michael O'Shaughnessy are setting the standard offensively.
• Putnam leads the Wildcats with a .363 average, a .618 slugging percentage, a 1.077 OPS and 63 total bases. He's also hit six home runs and driven in 30.
• O'Shaughnessy is hitting .330 with a 1.067 OPS and leads the team with seven home runs and 33 RBIs.

SCOUTING QUEENS

• The Royals have won three of their last four games, including two of three in their weekend series with Florida Gulf Coast.
• Outfielder Dillon Lewis leads the way with a .373 average, a 1.012 OPS and 12 stolen bases and has also hit six home runs and driven in 23.
• Catcher Tyler Cotto has hit a team-best eight home runs with a team-high 25 RBIs.

SERIES HISTORY
• Tuesday's game will be the teams' third meeting.
• The teams split last season's matchups, with Davidson winning 16-6 at home in February and Queens winning 6-5 in May.
