DAVIDSON, N.C. – After opening with two straight on the road for the first time since 2011, Davidson will host No. 21 Campbell in its home opener Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. inside Alumni Stadium.
The Wildcats enter 0-2-0 on the young season, while the Camels come in 2-0-0 following wins over Incarnate Ward and Houston Baptist at the HBU Invitational.
Davidson leads the all-time series - which dates back to 1963 - by an 11-6 margin. Last season in Buies Creek, Davidson handed Campbell just its second home loss in 22 matches in a 3-1 decision. Connor Smith, Jack Wilson and Vincent Bennage scored for the Wildcats.
A year ago, Davidson faced four nationally-ranked foes highlighted by wins over High Point and Rhode Island.
