With 5-4 and 8-7 victories, the Wildcats improved to 24-21 overall and 8-11 in the Atlantic 10.
Game 1
Hinderleider singled to right with the bases loaded in the seventh to score Ruben Fontes and break a 4-4 tie with a walk-off hit. Fontes had led off the inning with a single.
Hinderleider's solo homer to center came in the second and gave the Wildcats a 4-0 lead. In the first, John Hosmer (sacrifice fly) and Henry Koehler (single) drove in runs, and Fontes scored on a wild pitch.
Starter Gabe Levy threw four innings and struck out four, while allowing four hits and two earned runs. Nolan DeVos covered the final three frames, striking out three and allowing two hits and an earned run. He improved to 5-0.
Game 2
The Wildcats built a 7-0 lead in the first three innings, weathered a Patriots rally and moved ahead 8-7 in the fifth when Parker Nolan tagged up and scored from second on Koehler's deep sacrifice fly to center.
Fontes and Trevor Candelaria hit RBI-doubles in the first, and Ryan Wilson plated Candelaria on a sacrifice fly. Hinderleider led off the second with a solo shot to left before Koehler hit an RBI-double and later scored on a balk. The Wildcats made it 7-0 on another Koehler RBI-double in the third.
The Patriots evened the score with six runs in the fifth before Nolan showed his speed with a two-base tag-up.
