'Cats Host Lafayette This Weekend

The Davidson baseball team will look to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it opens a three-game home series with Lafayette on Friday evening.
First pitch at Wilson Field is set for 5:30 p.m.
The weekend series is the third straight at home for the Wildcats and will complete their 11-game homestand to open the season.
The Wildcats (7-1) are coming off a 10-3 loss to Winthrop on Wednesday night. The 7-0 start was the program's best since 1907.
Lafayette (2-5) was also in action Wednesday, losing 10-1 to Rider.
Friday marks the teams' first meeting since 2018, when Davidson won two of three games against the Leopards to open the season.
