
Wildcats Extinguish The Flames, 13-6 Win Over Liberty

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Davidson women's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 13-6 victory over the Liberty Flames on Sunday afternoon. This is the program's first 3-0 start since the 2022 campaign.
Jenna Skibbe scored six goals for the second consecutive game. Keira Best tallied a career-high three goals. Nine of Davidson's 13 goals were assisted. The defense was strong throughout the game with a season-high 14 caused turnovers.
Skibbe scored four of Davidson's first five goals in the first quarter. The 'Cats led 5-1 after the first frame. Keira Best started off the scoring for Davidson in the second quarter. Best's three goals came in the first half and the Wildcats led 8-3 at halftime. Davidson outshot Liberty 17-10 in the first two quarters.
Kaitlyn Uller netted Davidson's two goals in the third quarter. The 'Cats closed out the fourth quarter with goals from Jenna Skibbe, Brooke Ross, and Adrienne Leone.
Lydia Canavan helped Davidson possess the ball with a team-high four draw controls. Kella McGrail led the Wildcats with four caused turnovers.
Kaitlyn Uller, Brooke Ross, and Allie Hartnett each contributed with two assists to lead the way in that department.
