DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson College lacrosse head coach Kim Wayne completed her staff with the announcement of Maggie Clark as an assistant coach Monday afternoon.Â
Clark arrives at Davidson after a five-year playing career at James Madison University, where she was a 2025 Second Team American Athletic Conference midfielder.Â
"I am excited to welcome Maggie to the Davidson family," said Wayne. "Maggie's experience as a midfielder at JMU will help both our offense and defense. As a captain during the 2025 season, Maggie learned a lot about leadership, hard work and dedication. She understands what it takes to be successful, and I am excited to see her share her experience as a player with our current team. The JMU staff does a great job developing their players, and I know Maggie will do the same at Davidson."Â
Prior to earning All-AAC accolades as a senior, Clark was named a Coastal Athletic Association All-Rookie honoree in 2022. Academically, Clark was well-decorated as a six-semester JMU President's List honoree, a two-time JMU Dean's List mention, a James Madison Director Scholar-Athlete from the fall of 2020 to the spring of 2025 and a College Sports Communicatiors Academic All-District At-Large Team member in 2025.Â
While at James Madison, Clark earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2023 before completing her Master of Arts in Physical & Health Education Concentration in 2024, all while obtaining a teaching licensure in Health and Physical Education (Pre K-12).Â
