DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson College lacrosse head coach Kim Wayne announced the addition of Corryne Sulpizio to her staff as an assistant coach on Thursday morning.Â
Sulpizio joins Davidson following coaching stops at La Salle and Franklin & Marshall and a four-year playing career as a defender at Slippery Rock University, where she helped lead her team to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference appearance in 2018.Â
"I am thrilled to welcome Corryne to the Davidson family," said head coach Kim Wayne. "Corryne comes to Davidson with a wealth of experience coaching at a competitive D-III level while helping lead Franklin & Marshall to two Final Fours, and she also has experience in the Atlantic 10 after having coached this past season at La Salle. Corryne's passion for lacrosse and growing as a coach is what makes her a perfect fit for our staff. She is dedicated, hardworking and eager to share her knowledge with our team while pushing them to be the best at what they do."Â
Prior to her season as assistant coach with the Explorers, Sulpizio left her time with the Diplomats well-decorated after leading the team to back-to-back Centennial Conference Championship titles and NCAA Final Four berths. For her efforts, Sulpizio was recognized as a member of the Metro Region Coaching Staff of the Year following both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. During her time at Franklin & Marshall, she helped develop and train seven All-Americans and nine All-Centennial Conference athletes.Â
While attending Slippery Rock, Sulpizio earned her Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education in 2021 before completing a Master's of Science degree in Wellness through Innovative Leadership in the summer of 2022.Â
