ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — A nine-run second inning put the Davidson baseball team on the winning track Sunday afternoon, and the Wildcats emerged with a 15-8 series-clinching win at St. Bonaventure in Atlantic 10 play.
 
With the victory, the Wildcats improved to 19-23 overall and 13-8 in the A-10.
 
Noah Jouras' two-run home run highlighted the second, which also included Anthony Torreso's two-RBI double, Jack Cotrone's two-RBI single and JD Woodall's RBI-double. Eli Putnam and Michael O'Shaughnessy plated runs on a groundout and a bases-loaded walk, respectively, and Chris Schuchart hit both a double and a single in the inning.
 
The Wildcats added three runs in the sixth off solo blasts from Cider Canon (14th home run) and O'Shaughnessy (13th) and Jamie Daly's bases-loaded walk.
 
O'Shaughnessy, who drove in the game's first run on an RBI-double in the first, and Schuchart led the way with three hits apiece.
 
Starter Cooper Cavanaugh threw two innings, allowing three hits and one earned run and striking out three. Ed Hall (4.0 IP) took it from there, surrendered two hits and one earned run and struck out six.
 
Up Next
The Wildcats will host N.C. A&T Tuesday evening in the final non-conference game of the season.
