Whitworth Named A-10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Frances Whitworth of the Davidson women's cross-country team has been named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Whitworth, a junior from Winston-Salem, N.C., placed 12th out of 269 competitors to lead the Wildcats to a fifth place showing at the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University.
She ran the 5k course in 18:12.1, posting the 10th best time of competitors counting towards the team's final total.
