With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-2.
Davidson scored in the second quarter when Grayson Buben chipped in a goal off an assist from Susannah Armstrong. Buben's first career goal cut the Lions' lead to 2-1 at the half.
Sophie Rockefeller and Kelsey Farkas scored two goals apiece to lead Columbia.

The Wildcats' road trip continues Sunday with an 11 a.m. game at Hofstra. That will complete a four-game stretch away from Davidson before the Wildcats host Bellarmine on Sept. 12 at Belk Turf Field.
