It was the final non-conference game on the schedule, and the Wildcats improved to 9-8 behind season-highs of 44 shots, 26 shots-on-goal and 18 penalty corners. The Wildcats also scored six goals against Stonehill on Sept. 5.
Matilda Collins, Lourdes Wolf and Emilia Ostos provided the goals, while the Wildcats allowed only one shot from the Lakers (3-12). Wolf and Collins each scored their two in the first half, as the Wildcats built a 4-0 halftime lead.
Collins now leads Davidson with 11 goals, while Wolf has 10, and it's the first time two Wildcats have scored double-digit goals in a season since 2011. That year, Finley Amato, the program's all-time scoring leader, and Christine Rua had 14 and 12 goals, respectively.
Ostos put the finishing touches on the win with two goals in a span of 18 seconds of the third quarter, both assisted by Sophie Rousseau.
