LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson is 8-6 overall and 1-2 in the A10 after defeating La Salle 2-1 in overtime last Friday evening.

• Senior back Matilda Collins scored the game-winner against La Salle 4:50 into the extra period. She also assisted on the Wildcats' first goal and was named A10 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
• Collins and sophomore forward Lourdes Wolf have formed a two-pronged attack. They lead the offense with eight goals apiece, which ranks fifth in the A10.
• It marks the first time since 2016 that the Wildcats have had two players score at least eight goals in the same season. Katherine English and Anne Federico each scored eight in 2016.
• Collins has a team-high 18 points, which is also fifth in the league.
• Freshman Ava Perkins leads the Wildcats with five assists.
• Davidson is coming off a 1-0 non-conference loss at Rider last Sunday, in which the Wildcats finished with significant advantages in shots (26-5), shots-on-goal (20-2) and penalty corners (14-6).
SCOUTING THE RAMS
• VCU enters 7-6 overall and 3-0 in the A10, tied atop the standings with Saint Joseph's.
• The Rams have earned league wins over La Salle, Saint Louis and Lock Haven.
• Most recently, they dropped a 2-0 game to Fairfield in non-conference play.
• Julia Spohr leads VCU with 12 points, including four goals and four assists. She was named A10 Rookie of the Week on Monday after scoring twice in the Rams' 5-2 win over Lock Haven.

• Davidson is seeking its first win in the series since back-to-back victories in 2014 and 2015, the Wildcats' first two A10 seasons.
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
• Wake Forest moved up to No. 6 in the national rankings this week after earning wins over Stanford and Cal last weekend.
• The Demon Deacons enter Friday's game against No. 19 Virginia 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the ACC.
• Wake returns 2025 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, Mia Schoenbeck, who helped the Deacons narrowly escape defeat in Davidson last year.
• In that contest, the Wildcats led 1-0 late before Schoenbeck scored with 12 seconds remaining to force overtime. Then she delivered the game-winning goal in the second extra period.
• Schoenbeck and goalkeeper Ruby Butterfield are the reigning ACC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
