THE SERIES
The Wildcats trail the Red Foxes 1-9 all-time dating back to the first meeting in 2008 and are 1-3 in Poughkeepsie. Marist has won the last seven meetings and have scored 31 points in each of the last three meetings.
LAST TIME OUT
Davidson fell for the first time at home this season, dropping a hard-fought game to PFL foe Morehead State last Saturday, 35-28. Junior running back James Story found the end zone twice, his second consecutive multi touchdown game and third straight outing with a score overall. Junior defensive tackle Bryce Perry-Martin had a career day, making 13 stops, 3.5 for loss and 1.0 sack. Classmate and tight end Hunter Louthan caught his only ball of the game for his fourth score of the season, while sophomore running back Wesley Dugger rushed 21 times for 93 yards.
SCOUTING THE RED FOXES
Marist (2-4, 2-1 PFL) has won 2 of its last 3 including both league matchups entering Saturday's game. Mike Husni has taken majority of the snaps under center, completing 43 of 92 attempts with 6 scores and three picks. Three-time All-PFL selection, wide receiver Juston Christian, has 25 receptions, 6 of them going for scores and totaling 631 yards. Grant Dixon leads the Red Foxes on defense with a balanced stat sheet, 40 tackles, 3.0 for loss, a sack and an interception.
LAST TIME THEY MET
Trevor Smith '18 hit three field goals, but the Wildcats failed to find the end zone in a 31-9 setback at Richardson last September. Smith converted on tries from 39, 30 and 26 yards out. Stockton McGuire completed 18 of 39 passes for 201 yards and an interception. Pat Tabor caught five passes for 78 yards to lead the offensive charge.
