ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Jaylen Thompson scored the game's only goal in the 69th minute to lead Davidson past St. Bonaventure, 1-0, in Atlantic 10 men's soccer action Saturday afternoon at the Marra Complex.
In addition to picking up three points in the standings, the Wildcats improve to 6-4-1 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play.
Thompson's third strike and second game-winner of the campaign, was assisted by Quinn Dudek, who cut it back to the sophomore to finish in the lower right corner.
Davidson had a great opportunity to break the scoreless tie in the 54th minute, but Nile Chau's attempt caromed off the post.
St. Bonaventure (4-6-2, 0-2-0 A-10) held a slim 12-10 edge in shots, while both teams finished with five corners.
Sam Bissett, who made a number of key saves for the Wildcats, led both keepers with six saves en route to his second clean sheet of 2017.
