GREENVILLE, S.C. – Three home runs powered Furman to a 12-1 victory over Davidson in Southern Conference baseball action Thursday night at Latham Stadium.
The loss ended Davidson's (17-29, 8-20 SoCon) SoCon Tournament hopes, as the Wildcats needed to sweep Furman (24-29, 11-17 SoCon) and have College of Charleston defeat UNCG twice in order to move from 10th place into eighth in the SoCon standings. Furman clinched the eighth and final seed with the win and UNCG's loss to CofC.

Muzika then followed with a three-run home run to the left-center gap.
Muzika drove in another run in the fifth inning with a double down the right field line and he then scored on an infield-single by Burton for a 7-1 Furman lead. The Paladins added a run in the seventh inning and four more in the eighth inning for the final margin.
The Wildcats loaded the bases in the sixth inning with back-to-back singles from Gadaire and Brandt, and then with two outs, a walk by Zeblo, but were unable to drive in any runs.
