
Wildcats Meet Marist For First Time Saturday

• Davidson continues its three-game homestand with a non-conference contest against Marist Saturday.
• It's the final non-league game of the year, and Davidson owns a 1-1 non-conference record.
• Davidson is 8-3 in Richardson Stadium in its last 11.
• The Wildcats are coming off a 28-24 loss against San Diego at home last week and are 1-5 in their last six games.
• Davidson is 1-2 at home this season.
• Marist enters the contest on a two-game losing skid and is coming off a 13-12 loss at Georgetown last Saturday.
• The Wildcats and Red Foxes share one common opponent this season, which is San Diego. Marist lost 40-22 at San Diego in the season opener.
• The Red Foxes will be members of the Pioneer Football League, beginning next season.
• Marist is 1-3 on the road this season.
Series Record
• This will be the first meeting between Marist and Davidson on the gridiron.
Scouting the Red Foxes
• A team without a league because of its impending move to the PFL, Marist has faced some pretty stiff competition this season, including Lafayette, Bucknell and Fordham.
• Offensively, Marist likes to run the football and averages 184.6 yards a game.
• Bo Ehikioya leads the squad in rushing with 918 yards and 13 touchdowns.
• Quarterback Chris Debowski is the team's second-leading rusher with 433 yards on 91 carries.
• Debowski has also thrown for 1,503 yards and six TDs, and his favorite target is James LaMacchia, who has 36 receptions for 535 yards and four scores.
• The Red Foxes are allowing 149.7 yards on the ground and 205.6 in the air.
• Defensive back Rory Foley has five interceptions for 95 return yards.
• Nick Andre leads the team with 12.5 tackles for loss and five sacks from his inside linebacker position.
Williams Named Special Teams Player of the Week
• Justin Williams was named PFL?Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against San Diego last Saturday.
• Williams returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and finished the contest with 136 kick return yards on three attempts for a 45.3 average.
• The sophomore added 17 rushing yards for 153 all-purpose markers.
• Williams ranks fourth in the PFL and 37th in the FCS in all-purpose yards, averaging 126 a contest.
Three Named Academic All-District
• Seniors Peter Bakke, Kirk Konert and Myles Potter have been named first-team ESPN The Magazine All-District III in a vote conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
• The trio will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America Honors.
• The three also automatically earn first-team Academic All-PFL honors.
• It's the second straight year Potter has been named academic all-district and the second consecutive season he and Konert have earned first-team Academic All-PFL?accolades.
A Disciplined Club
• Davidson has been one of the least penalized teams in FCS over the last six seasons.
• The Wildcats rank first in least penalties per game and first in least penalty yards per game this season.
