Notes: Penciled in as starter at tailback in a deep and talented backfield… big, bruising ball carrier.

2007: Started the first six games before injuries caused him to miss the last four… rushed for a career-high 170 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against UNC Pembroke… had 13 carries for 85 yards at Jacksonville… rushed for 28 yards and caught four passes for 59 yards and a touchdown at Wingate… had 12 carries for 57 yards and caught two passes for 10 markers at Dayton.

2006:
Saw action in eight of 10 contests off the bench... had seven carries for 81 yards, including a 54-yard scamper, at Valparaiso... ran for 40 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries in the season finale vs. Butler; also caught a pass for four yards... rushed for 39 yards on four carries at Drake... was credited with 181 rushing yards in his last four games; averaged seven yards a carry during the stretch.

2005: Split time at tailback, posting nearly as many yards on the ground (463 to 497) as the starter… needed just 11 carries to traverse 60 yards against Greensboro, plus tallied his first touchdown on a one-yard dive … ran the ball 11 more times versus Lenoir-Rhyne and broke away for 67 yards … first start came at Valparaiso, allowing him to post his first 100-yard game (122) on 23 carries with a five-yard score … also caught four passes for 41 yards … amassed 61 yards on 16 carries in other start versus Drake … had a season-best 23-yard romp against Austin Peay … returned kickoffs in five games as well, averaging nearly 20 yards per return.

Prep Years: Three-time all-county and all-conference performer for coach Kent Millsaps at South Iredell … three-time team captain and two-time team MVP … Iredell County Football Player of the Year … also a four-year starter on basketball team and two-year member of the track squad … school’s athlete of the year as a senior … Wendy’s High School Heisman Trophy Nominee … Morehead Scholar nominee … role model and speaker for the DARE program … U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award … sports editor of school paper.
