Field Hockey Hosts App State Wednesday Night

The Davidson field hockey team will host Appalachian State Wednesday night in a rare midweek contest.
The 6 p.m. game at Belk Turf Field will be the Wildcats' first game outside of a weekend since 2022, and it's the first at home since 2018.
LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• The Wildcats are 1-1 following Sunday's 4-0 win over Towson. They opened the season Friday with a 2-1 loss to Georgetown.
• Lourdes Wolf leads Davidson with two goals, including one in each game.
• Also in Sunday's win, Matilda Collins scored on a penalty stroke, and Emily Najarian and Ise Adams added their first career goals. Ellie Johnson and Sophie Rousseau had assists.
• Keeper Avery Foster's four saves helped the Wildcats post the shutout against Towson.

• Keeper Dakota Anderson was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after totaling nine total saves.
