
Upset-Minded ‘Cats Fall to No. 19 Saint Louis

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Brady Dunlap scored a game-high 22 points, including 6-of-6 from deep, and No. 19 Saint Louis used a 16-0 second-half run to rally past upset-minded Davidson, 91-82, in Atlantic 10 men's basketball action Tuesday evening from John M. Belk Arena.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 13-9 overall and 5-5 in the league, while Billikens extend their winning streak to 16 straight improving to 22-1 and 10-0.
Robbie Avila (17), Amari McCottry (14) and Trey Green (13) also scored in double figures for Saint Louis, which shot 59.3 percent after intermission.
Davidson built its lead back to seven points early in the second half, but the Billikens responded with a decisive run to reclaim the lead permanently, their first advantage since the game's opening minutes.
Despite the setback, Josh Scovens finished with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds. Parker Friedrichsen and Devin Brown had 15 and 13, respectively.
Brown banked in his third triple of the first half, giving the 'Cats a 46-33 lead, its largest of the game. Saint Louis then closed the period with eight straight points to cut the deficit to 46-41 by the break.
In addition, Saint Louis canned 12-of-27 from 3-point range and held a 41-30 advantage on the glass.
