
Davidson Adds Seven Scholar-Athletes To 2026-27 Roster

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Wildcats are set to officially welcome seven new scholar-athletes for the upcoming 2026-27 roster, head coach Matt McKillop announced on Tuesday.
"There's a lot of talent with this group as a whole," explained head coach Matt McKillop. "We looked for IQ, size, physicality, and toughness. We also looked for the type of people who will not just thrive on the basketball court here, but will love the Davidson community, embrace it, and make you proud to cheer for them."
Jackson Keith (Sophomore / 6-6 / Durham, N.C.)
Nick Janowski (Redshirt Sophomore / 6-4 / Pewaukee, W.I.)
John Carter Jr. (Senior / 6-4 / Nashville, T.N.)
Quadri Bashiru (Redshirt Freshman / 6-9 / Nigeria)
Eetu Heinonen (Freshman / 6-4 / Finland)
Tom Stoiber (Freshman / 6-8 / Germany)
Malik Davis (Freshman / 6-5 / Australia)

Jackson Keith (Sophomore / 6-6 / Durham, N.C.)
- Spent last season at Butler University and played in 26 games off the bench as a true freshman
- Named 2024-25 First Team All-State by North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association…consensus four-star recruit…scored more than 2,000 points
- 24.4 PPG, 6.7 REB/G as a senior
- Led Southern High School to a 3A State Championship in 2025
- Played for Team CP3 on the EYBL Circuit during summer of 2024
Nick Janowski (Redshirt Sophomore / 6-4 / Pewaukee, W.I.)
- Played in first season of college basketball at St. Thomas (MN) and was named 2026 Summit League Freshman of the Year + First Team All-Summit League
- (16.1 PPG, 50% FG, 34% 3's, 5.1 REB/G)
- Redshirt during 2024-25 campaign at Nebraska, traveled with the team
- Coached by David Burkemper at Pewaukee High School
- School record 2,297 points and led team to 3 state titles
- As a senior, represented WBCA Division 2 All-State Team
- 30.8 PPG, 8.2 REB/G, 4.4 A/G
- Played AAU for Phenom U in the EYBL
John Carter Jr. (Senior / 6-4 / Nashville, T.N.)
- Played 4 seasons as Navy from 2018-2022
- In 109 career games, averaged 10.8 PPG, 37% FG, 4.7 REB/G
- 2022 Patriot League Second Team
- 2019 Patriot League All-Rookie Team
- Led all freshmen in the league with 8.4 PPG and 5.2 REB/G
- Spent last 4 years in the Marine Corps
Quadri Bashiru (Redshirt Freshman / 6-9 / Nigeria)
- Redshirt at Longwood during the 2025-26 campaign
- Played at The Hill School (Pa.) for 4 years
- Helped team advance to the state title game in PISAA
Eetu Heinonen (Freshman / 6-4 / Finland)
- Grew up in Finland and moved to Madrid, Spain at age 14
- Most recently played for Dreamland Gran Canaria during the 2025-26 season and averaged 12.0 PPG in 27 games (October – May)
- A few former Wildcats from Finland include Oskar Michelsen (2014-18) and Jouni Eho (2000-04)
Tom Stoiber (Freshman / 6-8 / Germany)
- Most recently played on Nuernberg Falcons BC in German ProA
- In 34 games, 7.7 PPG, 68% FG, 4.4 REB/G
- Season-high 30 points on January 31
- Competed in the 2025 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup and 2024 FIBA EuroBasket
Malik Davis (Freshman / 6-5 / Australia)
- Most recently played for Geelong United in the NBL1
- Represented Vic Navy at the Australian U20 National Championship in February 2026 (17.0 PPG, 8.0 REB/G)
