Women Open Outdoor Season at 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Davidson's Abigail Nasse and Molly Sullivan set new personal bests in the 1500m to highlight day one of competition for the women's track and field team at the Charlotte 49er Classic Friday.
Nasse and Sullivan finished 12th and 13th out of 64 competitors with times of 4:42.10 and 4:43.05, respectively.
In field events, freshmen Bella Cantorna (pole vault) and Stefania Williams (long jump) turned in solid performances.
Cantorna recorded a height of 3.41m (11 2 ¼") to place ninth, while Williams finished eighth with a mark of 5.51m (18' 1").
The Wildcats will wrap up their season opener tomorrow with events beginning at 9 a.m.
