Wildcats Put Together Impressive Showing in Final Tune Up

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A pair of school records, new facility standard, and first-place finish in the 4x400m relay, highlighted competition for the Davidson women's indoor track & field team at the USC Invite inside the Carolina Track Complex Saturday.
Once again, Ashley Rangel set a new program mark in the shot put (13.43m / 44-00.75), while fellow Wildcat Summer Laskey eclipsed her teammates' record in the weight throw (14.65m / 48-00.75).
In the long jump, Stefania Williams was one of seven competitors to break the facility record. The sophomore recorded a mark of 5.64m (18-06.00) to come home fourth out of 23 in the event.
The freshmen quartet of Elle Collins, Beatrice Wiley, Leila Haley and Sofia Kardel recorded a season-best time of 3:51.72 in the 4x400m to finish atop the podium.
In all, the Wildcats finished with 10 season best times / marks and set six new personal records in the annual event hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Davidson will travel to Virginia Beach next weekend for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.
