DAVIDSON - The Davidson women's basketball team is set for a tough match up against the No. 2 ranked team in the Atlantic 10 George Mason 8 p.m. Thursday inside Belk Arena.

SERIES HISTORY...
The Wildcats will look to take an edge over the Patriots in the all-time series which currently sits at an even 7-7 between the two teams. Davidson and George Mason have traded wins the last two meetings with the 'Cats being victorious a season ago and the Patriots more recently earlier this year.

Despite a career-high 32 points from Charlise Dunn, Davidson fell on the road to George Mason, 81-73, Jan. 22 inside EagleBank Arena. Dunn scored 20 of her 28 second-half points in the third quarter, while finishing 11-of-23 from the floor, including six of the Wildcats' 10 3-pointers.

Kyra Bruyndoncx also scored in double figures with 13 points in 34 minutes. The Wildcats torched the nets for 78.6 percent in the third quarter, highlighted by Dunn's 8-of-10 effort.

LAST TIME OUT...
Katie Donavan scored a game-high 16 points and Davidson held St. Bonaventure to just 27.5 percent from the floor as the Wildcats cruised to a 55-37 victory Feb. 16 inside John M. Belk Arena. Along with winning their fifth straight, the Wildcats improve to 15-11 overall and 10-4 in Atlantic 10 play.

Donavan who added six rebounds, three blocks and two steals, was joined in double figures by Tomisin Adenupe's 13 points.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME...
Davidson has been at its best this season when playing in the confines of John M. Belk Arena, currently sitting at a solid 9-3 home record.

All told, the 'Cats are outscoring its opponents by an sizable +129 margin including a +10.8 margin per game. The Wildcats are scoring .434 percent from the field, .346 percent beyond the arc and .716 percent at the charity stripe on Bob McKillop court this season.

Donovan (11.1 ppg) and Morgan (11.0 ppg) pace the offense while Donovan (5.1 rpg), Dunn (4.4 rpg) and Prior (4.3) lead the defense on their home court. Haines (24) and Bruyndoncx (15) have torched the nets from distance in Belk accounting for .475 percent of Davidson's made 3-pointers at home this season.

February has been a marquee month for the 'Cats who are currently an undefeated 5-0 in the second month of the year. Davidson is outscoring is February opponents by a +13.2 margin each game in addition to holding those competitors to just a .321 FG% and .310 3PT%.

Katie Donovan has been a sight to behold during the month averaging 12.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game all the while shooting .537 (22-of-41) from the floor, .462 (6-of-13) from beyond the arc and .857 (12-of-14) at the foul line.

Ranking seventh in the nation and first in the Atlantic 10 in opponent 3-point percentage at just .253, the Wildcats have continued to defend the arc well entering the final contests of the regular season. So far this season, Davidson has surrendered just 89 total made 3-pointers, allowing its opponents to hit more than six triples only one time this season.

The 'Cats have held their competitors to no made 3-pointers on three occasions this season (0-6 Presbyterian, 0-3 Charlotte, 0-8 George Mason).

George Mason is currently receiving votes in the AP Top 25 Poll and has been for the majority of the season while claiming per game averages of 74.3 points and 38.5 rebounds per game while forcing its opponents into 19.8 turnovers per game. Additionally, the Patriots are shooting .426 from the floor, .368 from 3-point range and .721 at the foul line.

Zahirah Walton leads the George Mason's offense with 14.2 ppg to go along with a .432 FG%. Following is Kennedy Harris with 14.8 ppg, a .421 FG% and a .404 3PT%. Nalani Kaysia paces the Patriot defense bringing in 9.2 rebounds per contest in addition to making 1.2 blocks per game.
