Atlantic 10 Conference postseason implications and Senior Day will highlight the final weekend of the regular season for the Davidson field hockey team.
The Wildcats will host Saint Louis in the final A-10 regular season game Friday night and will celebrate the eight-member class of 2026 when Queens visits on Sunday afternoon.
LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson enters the weekend 8-8 overall, with its most wins since the 2015 Wildcats went 8-11.
• That was also the year the Wildcats earned their only Atlantic 10 Tournament bid, going 5-3 in the league.
• A ninth win would match the 9-13 record of 2012, and Davidson is seeking its first winning season since 2011 (11-9).
• The Wildcats are 2-3 in the A-10 and tied for fourth in their pursuit of one of the league's four tournament berths.
• Davidson ranks second in the A-10 with 39 goals scored.
• With a 5-4 win at William & Mary Oct. 5, the Wildcats secured at least seven wins for the third straight year after going 7-11 in 2023 and 7-8 last season.
• In September, the Wildcats posted a five-game win streak, the team's longest since 2010.
• In A-10 play, Davidson owns wins over La Salle (3-2 on Sept. 19) and Lock Haven (5-1 on Sept. 26).
SIB-SATIONAL
• Senior Sib Naaktgeboren continues to be the catalyst as one of the A-10's top scorers. She ranks third in the league and 14th nationally with 15 goals with the most goals a Wildcat has scored since Finley Amato had 16 in 2010.
• Naaktgeboren leads the A-10 with 4.40 shots and 3.00 shots-on-goal per game. She's third in the league with 36 points and tied for seventh with six assists.
• Naaktgeboren is climbing the Davidson records and closing in on multiple marks such as single-season goals (18) and single-season points (39), and she is three off the career assists (24) mark with 21.
• A two-time A-10 Second Team selection, Naaktgeboren has scored multiple goals in five games this year, including four at Towson (Aug. 31) and three at William & Mary.
• She was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 15 and 22.
MULTI-PRONGED ATTACK
• Naaktgeboren isn't alone in her efforts, as four other Wildcats enter the weekend with double-digit points.
• Celie Constantine and Eva van der Kooi have 11 points apiece, and Matilda Collins and Lourdes Wolf have 10 each.
• With five goals, Collins is the Wildcats' second-best scorer.
• Constantine leads Davidson with seven assists, which ranks third in the A-10. With 18 career assists, she has climbed into sixth in the program record book.
SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS
• Saint Louis comes to town with a 5-8 overall record, and the Billikens are 1-4 in the A-10.
• That league win came on Oct. 3, when the Billikens beat second-place Richmond 2-1.
• Since then, the Billikens have dropped four straight games, and most recently posted a 1-0 loss to A-10 foe Lock Haven.
• Sierra Larson and Olivia Smith lead Saint Louis with five goals apiece.
