'Cats Search For Bounce-Back Win at St. Bonaventure

DAVIDSON - The Davidson women's basketball team will look to earn a bounce-back Atlantic 10 win when it travels to St. Bonaventure 1 p.m. Saturday.

The 'Cats arrive at St. Bonaventure holding an 8-6 lead in the all-time series. Davidson is currently on a five-game winning streak against the Bonnies with its most recent meeting ending in a 65-57 Wildcats victory. 

Charlise Dunn (22) and Issy Morgan (18) combined for 40 points to lead Davidson past St. Bonaventure while Maddie Plank joined the 'Cats in double figures with 12 points on a 5-of-11 showing. Additionally, the Wildcats tallied a season-high 12 blocks, including five from Millie Prior

Coming off a career-high 37-point effort, Maggie Doogan scored a game-high 26 points to lead Richmond past Davidson, 63-41 Jan. 12 inside Belk Arena. Issy Morgan led the way for Davidson with nine points.

CONSISTENT CONTRIBUTION...
Entering the weekend, four Wildcats rank in the roster's leading scorers with double-figure points per game in Katie Donovan (10.6), Issy Morgan (10.4), Charlise Dunn (10.5) and Candice Lienafa (10.2). 

Additionally, three of the floor have shot over .400 from the field with two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week Lienafa leading the way at .576, the second most efficient percentage in the league. Following is Donovan at .450 percent and Morgan at .444 percent from the floor. 

ATLANTIC 10 NUMBERS...
The Wildcats have put up impressive numbers over five conference games so far headlined by outscoring its league competitors by a +52 margin (354-302). 

As a team, Davidson is averaging 70.8 points and 38.4 rebounds per game while shooting .428 from the field, .369 from 3-point range and .733 at the foul line in conference games. The Wildcats have also averaged an impressive 11.8 assists, 5.6 steals and 3.8 blocks over those five contests. 

Pacing the scoring for the 'Cats in conference play is Morgan (13.0), Donovan (11.6), Dunn (11.0) Lienafa (10.2) and Bruyndoncx (10.4). Additionally all four of the five double-figure scorers have made over 40 percent of their shot attempts in Lienafa (.513), Bruyndoncx (.486), Morgan (.438) and Donovan (.431). 

Lastly, Donovan (7-of-15), Bruyndoncx (10-of-21) and Mallorie Haines (8-of-15) have shot the ball well from 3-point range in A-10 action. 

TAKING THE SMART SHOT...
While scoring the seventh-most point per game in the Atlantic 10 (65.7), the Wildcats have proven to be efficient in their shot attempts as they are third in the conference in field goal percentage (.430) and fourth in the A-10 in 3-point field goal percentage. 

On the opposite end of the court, the 'Cats have defended well allowing its competitors to have the conferences second lowest 3-point percentage (.259) and ninth lowest FG% (.397).

Like the Wildcats, the Bonnies are coming off of a loss to Richmond via 98-60 decision on the road Jan. 15. 

Leading the offensive efforts for St. Bonaventure is Dani Haskell who averages 14.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest. Following is Caitlin Frost who tallies 10.3 points, a team-high 5.2 rebounds as well as 1.1 steals per game. Both Haskell and Frost are shooting efficiently from the floor at .413 and .470 percent respectively with Frost also connecting on .400 of her shots from beyond the arc. 

As a team, the Bonnies are averaging 56.4 ppg and 29.8 rpg while shooting .375 from the floor, .315 from 3-point range and .752 from the foul line this season.
