Field Hockey Earns 1-0 Win Over Saint Francis

DAVIDSON — Emelia Little's goal and some shutdown defense helped the Davidson field hockey team earn a 1-0 win over Saint Francis Sunday afternoon at Belk Turf Field.
The victory evened the Wildcats' record at 3-3, while Saint Francis fell to 5-3.
Little's goal, the first of her career, came at the 11:17 mark of the second quarter off a deep shot from the right side.
The Wildcats and Red Flash had nine shots apiece as well as three shots-on-goal each. But the Davidson defense also had to defend seven penalty corners to complete the shutout. Back Bella Worthington led the way with two defensive saves, while keeper MaryKate Berg made one save.
Prior to the game, the Wildcats honored the five members of the 2025 class, including Worthington, Macy Curtis, Sofi Doune-Bosch, Abby Pompeo and Adriana Risi.

The Wildcats will visit Atlantic 10 foe Richmond next Friday.
