'Cats Push Richmond in Overtime Loss

It's the second straight year that Richmond (6-2 overall, 2-0 A-10) has topped the Wildcats (3-3, 0-2) in overtime.
Abby Pompeo's goal with 9:17 left in the fourth quarter, off a Sib Naaktgeboren assist, gave the Wildcats a 4-3 lead, but Valen Luna Paratore tied it for Richmond with 49 seconds remaining. Then Grace Wiggins scored 1:32 into overtime to give the Spiders the win.
Mickel scored her first two goals of the season in the second quarter, helping the Wildcats to a 3-2 halftime lead. She first scored off a rebound, then gave the Wildcats the lead 2:38 before the intermission off an assist from Hannah Merritt.
After Richmond scored at the 13:01 mark of the first quarter, Macy Curtis scored off a rebound to tie it and notch her third goal of the year.
