DAVIDSON – The Davidson College men's soccer team will enter its sixth Atlantic 10 postseason on Friday night when it visits No. 2 seed Dayton at Baujan Field.

How We Got Here
The Wildcats earned a berth to the A-10 postseason for the second consecutive season after a 2-1 win over Rhode Island last Saturday. Sophomore midfielder Noah Louzan broke a 1-1 tie in the 87th minute to propel Davidson to the postseason. With the win, the 'Cats jumped ahead of Loyola Chicago and La Salle to earn the No. 7 seed in the tournament.

Over the last seven games, Davidson is 4-2-1 with wins over VCU, now-No. 20 Massachusetts, Johnson & Wales and Rhode Island. The team also tied Virginia Tech 2-2 on the road. The team's only two losses came on the road against then-No. 24 Duquesne and to the Flyers, who were ranked No. 25 at the time (Oct. 26).

Leading the Charge
Denis Krioutchenkov continues to lead the Davidson attack in his junior campaign. The striker from Milwaukee is top-10 in the conference in four different categories: total shots (1st, 60), assists (5th, 7), total points (8th, 17), and shots-on-goal (9th, 16).

Also contributing in a big way this year has been sophomore midfielder Nico Quanbeck. After scoring just one goal as a freshman, the California native is second on the team in points (10) and goals (4). He has also been on the pitch more than any Wildcat midfielder with 1,246 minutes played.

Senior captain Eamon Moylan leads the team in minutes played with 1,509 out of a possible 1,530 this season. He has guided the back line in all 17 games at center back.

In goal, Lucas Beltran has started 16 games between the pipes. He has the fourth-most shutouts in the league with four and is seventh in saves (47) and ninth in saves per game (2.94).

Storylines to Watch
Sophomore Noah Louzan has been inserted into the starting lineup over the past two games, and he has found the back of the net in both. Since returning from a two-game hiatus in mid-October, the Marietta, Ga., native has four points and two goals on four total shots.

Davidson will be without Myles Culley and Mateo Castellini due to yellow cards. Culley got his fifth yellow of the season, while Castellini got two yellows against URI. Culley is tied for third on the team in points (7) and second in assists (3) and shots-on-goal (11).

The Wildcats are on the hunt for their second-ever A-10 postseason win after capturing their first against Duquesne last season in a 2-1 decision.

About the Flyers
Dayton flies into the A-10 Tournament riding a league-best five-game win streak and have not lost since a 4-2 decision against Fordham on Oct. 12. After capturing their tenth win of the season last weekend, the Flyers were ranked No. 5 in the Week 11 United Soccer Coaches poll.

They rank top-10 nationally in seven different statistical categories, including leading the country in shots per game (20) and second in the nation in scoring offense (3.00). Individually, the Flyers have four of the conference's top 10 players in total points and total goals. Martin Bakken leads the way with eight goals and eight assists for 24 points on the year. Joseph Melto Quiah leads the conference in shots per game (4.07), which also ranks fourth-best nationally.
