ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The Davidson College men's soccer team dropped an Atlantic 10 contest to the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on the road, 3-1, on Saturday evening.
Things started off on the wrong foot after an own goal by the Wildcats gave St. Bonaventure the lead 20 seconds into the contest. Davidson was able to shrug off the early deficit when Denis Krioutchenkov scored his third goal of the year on his first non-penalty kick score five minutes later.
The home team went back ahead late in the first half with a goal in the 44th minute to make it 2-1.
In the second half, St. Bonaventure scored the dagger in the 78th minute on a deflection shot off a header after a corner set piece to make it a 3-1 game.
Krioutchenkov ended the night with one goal on six shots and Lucas Beltran made five saves in net.
