'Cats Net Eight Goals in Win Over JWU; Most Since 2002

Tuesday's margin of victory tied the school record and had not been done since Sept. 30, 2000 against the Citadel. It marks the eighth time in program history the Wildcats have beaten an opponent by eight goals.
Davidson's eight goals scored was the first time the Wildcats have put that many in the net since Oct. 22, 2002 in an 8-3 win over UNC Greensboro.
Jackson Nabors scored twice to lead the charge, his first strike in the 68th minute was the first of his collegiate career. Denis Krioutchenkov recorded a career-high four assists in the win and bumped his point total to 15 on the season.
In total, seven Wildcats got their first goals on the year: Baylen Young ('20), Vincent Bennage ('26), Myles Culley ('33), Patrick Ward ('55), Nabors ('68, '80), and Tobe Ibe ('85).
Nico Quanbeck, Ben Minikel-Lacocque, and Culley each notched two assists.
Nabors, Krioutchenkov, and Culley combined for 12 points with four each.
In goal, Lucas Beltran got his fourth shutout of the season, albeit one of his easier ones, as the Wildcat back line did not allow a shot on frame.

Davidson will shift focus to a huge Atlantic 10 showdown in the final home game of the season. The No. 25 Dayton Flyers come into Alumni Stadium on Saturday night (7:00 p.m.) in a rematch of last year's A-10 Semifinals. It is also Senior Night.
