Burkholder Takes Seventh at Charlotte Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Megan Burkholder was the lone female Wildcat to compete at this weekend's Charlotte Invitational and ended the day with a seventh-place finish in the pole vault.
Burkholder a junior from Cozad, Neb., was able clear the bar at 3.66 meters to take seventh at the meet. Her season-best and school-record mark of 3.80 is the second highest run ahead of next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championships.
Charlotte's Riley Felts won the event after a successful run of 4.30 meters.
Burkholder and the rest of the women's track and field squad will now set their sights on the Atlantic 10 Championships which will take place in Amherst, Mass. on Saturday and Sunday (May 6 and 7).
