School and Personal Records Continue to Fall in Final Preparations for A-10 Meet

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In their final preparations for next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championships, the Davidson women's track and field team set a new school record and a number of personal bests at the Charlotte Invitational hosted by the 49ers Friday and Saturday.
Freshman Ashley Rangel continues to set school standards in the shot put with a throw of 13.52m Saturday. Last night, she established new personal records in the hammer throw (43.62m) and discus (39.77m).
Summer Laskey also broke her previous best in the discus with a distance of 39.48m.
In the javelin, Riley Dodd recorded a mark of 35.40m, while teammate Hannah Casey came in at 29.42m, both new career bests.
Senior Annika Valmassei broke her previous career high in the pole vault with a jump of 3.52m.

Davidson will head to Fairfax, Va., next weekend for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Track & Field Championships.
