Field Hockey Drops Road Test at JMU

HARRISONBURG, Va. — The Davidson field hockey team faced a barrage of shots Sunday and fell 7-0 at James Madison in non-conference play.
The Wildcats are now 2-6.
The Dukes, who had seven different players score, outshot the Wildcats 27-1 and 16-0 on shots-on-goal. Davidson held JMU scoreless through the first 15 minutes, but Eveline Zwager scored 46 seconds into the second quarter to get the Dukes going. JMU led 2-0 at the half.
Julia Smith was the lone Wildcat to record a shot.

Davidson returns home for its next two. The Wildcats will host Atlantic 10 foe Richmond Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. and then welcome non-league foe Ohio at 11 a.m. on Oct. 3.
